How to submit an article
We welcome articles on anything to do with Middle Eastern Dance or culture.

Return postage must accompany all submissions if they are to be returned. 

All submissions are subject to edit and editorial comment. The editor’s decision regarding publication is final. 

Signed articles express the opinion of the author and are not necessarily that of the editor.

Please send your images in the highest resolution possible to ensure good reproduction when printed - a minimum of 300dpi.

Where possible articles should be submitted in electronic form – MSWord, MSWorks, MS Publisher, Rich Text Files, & Adobe Acrobat (PDF) are all acceptable formats on disk or CD (PC only not MAC) or by email. Posted hard-copy articles are still welcomed, provided they are typed.

Product Reviews

If you would like us to review your CD, DVD or book for the magazine please send a sample copy to Taqasim Magazine, P.O. Box 72, Bideford, Devon, EX39 1FA. Please include an S.A.E. if you wish the product to be returned after it has been reviewed. The item will be reviewed by either the Editor, Sub-Editor or if appropriate we will ask a third party to review it on our behalf. Taqasim aims to give an unbiased review of all items submitted to us. The magazine is well-known for its honest and thorough reviews and our readers tell us that they consider this a useful and important part of the magazine's content.

Important Notice

Articles submitted to Taqasim should not be submitted to any other publication
until TWO further issues of Taqasim have been published. Any such article should
be clearly labeled as having first appeared in Taqasim.

Submission Formats
Return Postage must accompany all submissions if they are to be returned.

Taqasim is printed in black & white format so please make sure that any images you supply are not very dark or contain a lot of red/pink tones as these do not reproduce well in grey scale, but you can send us a colour image and we will adjust it. If you send us a colour image it will appear in colour in the electronic version of the magazine.

Please remember that in order to do your accompanying images or advertisements justice they should be submitted in a high resolution format - at least 300dpi.

Where possible submissions should be submitted in electronic form using one
of the following formats: MSWord, MSWorks, MS Publisher, Rich Text Files,
Adobe Reader (PDF), OpenOffice.

You can use floppy disk or CD (PC only not MAC) or submit by
email to submissions@taqasim.org.uk

Posted hard-copy submissions are also acceptable if you cannot use one of
the above formats, but please send them typed as we cannot accept hand-written copy.
